The Sri Lanka Railway Department has officially announced a recruitment drive for 106 vacancies for the position of Station Master, Grade III. Applications are invited from qualified male Sri Lankan citizens for this permanent, pensionable government post.
The competitive written examination for the recruitment is scheduled to be held in September 2025. The deadline for submitting applications is July 14, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
Prospective candidates must meet specific age, educational, and physical requirements as of the application closing date.
- Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old as of July 14, 2025.
- Gender: Only male applicants are eligible to apply.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Must have passed the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) examination in six subjects in one sitting, with credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil/English, Mathematics, and two other subjects.
- Must have passed three subjects in one sitting at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) examination (excluding the General Common Test).
- Physical Fitness: Candidates must be in good physical and mental health to serve in any part of Sri Lanka. The requirements include a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches, a chest measurement of at least 32 inches, and a 6×6 vision test pass.
- Other: Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka and possess an excellent character.
