University of Geneva MEIG Master’s Scholarships (2027–2028) Overview
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education (Higher Education Division) has issued an official notice inviting prospective Sri Lankan graduates and professionals to apply for the Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance (MEIG Programme) at the University of Geneva, Switzerland for the academic year 2027–2028.
Conducted in partnership with the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), the 10-month, 65 ECTS credit programme prepares candidates for high-level careers in international organizations, foreign services, public administration, and global policy institutions. The intake commences in September 2027 and concludes in July 2028.
Scholarship Funding & Financial Aid
- Full Scholarship (CHF 45,000): Covers the total programme tuition fee (CHF 25,000) and provides a substantial contribution towards living expenses in Geneva.
- Partial Scholarship (CHF 20,000): Provides dedicated financial assistance towards living and accommodation costs during the course.
- Eligibility Requirement for Financial Aid: Candidates must demonstrate documented financial need from their household and confirm that external sponsorships, employer funding, or bank loans are unobtainable.
Curriculum Structure & Key Focus Areas
- Core Governance: Architecture of the European Union, European Governance, Architecture of the United Nations System, and Global Governance.
- Thematic Focus Areas: Human Rights & Migration; Peace, Security & Humanitarian Affairs; Digital Governance; International Trade & Development; Health & Environment; Climate Change; and Sport Governance.
- Capstone & Practical Immersion: Agenda 2030 and Public-Private Partnerships, 20 working sessions inside international bodies, a 3-day study trip to Brussels, and an end-of-study internship, project, or Master’s thesis.
Admission Criteria & Requirements
- Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (minimum) from a recognized university across any discipline (law, political science, economics, international relations, or related fields).
- Experience: Relevant professional experience, public sector tenure, or internships in diplomacy and international affairs serve as a strong advantage.
- Language Requirement: Full English proficiency verified by valid TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge test scores.
- Target Audience: Early- to mid-career professionals, state officials, ministry staff, diplomats, and graduates seeking international leadership roles.

ස්විට්සර්ලන්තයේ ජිනීවා විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ MEIG පශ්චාත් උපාධි ශිෂ්‍යත්ව 2027–2028
ස්විට්සර්ලන්තයේ ජිනීවා විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය (University of Geneva) මඟින් එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ සංවිධානයේ ජිනීවා කාර්යාලය හා එක්ව පවත්වනු ලබන යුරෝපීය සහ ජාත්‍යන්තර රාජ්‍ය පාලනය පිළිබඳ උසස් අධ්‍යයන ශාස්ත්‍රපති (MEIG) උපාධි පාඨමාලාව සඳහා ශ්‍රී ලාංකික සිසුන්ට අයදුම්පත් කැඳවා ඇති බව අධ්‍යාපන, උසස් අධ්‍යාපන හා වෘත්තීය අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යාංශය නිවේදනය කරයි.
- පාඨමාලා කාලය: මාස 10 කි (2027 සැප්තැම්බර් සිට 2028 ජූලි දක්වා).
- ශිෂ්‍යත්ව වටිනාකම: පූර්ණ ශිෂ්‍යත්වය ස්විස් ෆ්‍රෑන්ක් 45,000 ක් (පාඨමාලා ගාස්තු සහ ජීවන වියදම් ඇතුළුව) වන අතර, අර්ධ ශිෂ්‍යත්වය ස්විස් ෆ්‍රෑන්ක් 20,000 කි.
- අවම සුදුසුකම්: පිළිගත් විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයකින් ඕනෑම විෂය ක්ෂේත්‍රයකින් ලබාගත් මූලික උපාධියක් සහ ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂා ප්‍රවීණතාවය (IELTS / TOEFL).
- අයදුම්පත් භාරගන්නා අවසාන දිනය: 2026 දෙසැම්බර් 20 (ශිෂ්‍යත්ව සඳහා).
சுவிட்சர்லாந்தின் ஜெனீவா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் MEIG முதுமானிப் பட்டப்படிப்பு புலமைப்பரிசில்கள் 2027–2028
சுவிட்சர்லாந்தின் ஜெனீவா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தினால் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபையின் ஜெனீவா அலுவலகத்துடன் இணைந்து நடாத்தப்படும் ஐரோப்பிய மற்றும் சர்வதேச ஆளுகைக்கான மேம்பட்ட கற்கைகள் முதுமானிப் (MEIG) பட்டப்படிப்பிற்கு இலங்கை விண்ணப்பதாரர்களிடமிருந்து விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளன.
- கால அளவு: 10 மாதங்கள் (2027 செப்டம்பர் முதல் 2028 ஜூலை வரை).
- புலமைப்பரிசில் பெறுமதி: முழுமையான புலமைப்பரிசில் CHF 45,000 (முழு கல்விக் கட்டணம் மற்றும் வாழ்க்கைச் செலவுகள்) மற்றும் பகுதி நிதி உதவி CHF 20,000.
- தகைமைகள்: ஏதேனும் ஒரு துறையில் இளமானிப் பட்டம் மற்றும் ஆங்கில மொழிப் புலமை (TOEFL/IELTS).
- விண்ணப்பிக்கும் இறுதித் திகதி: 2026 டிசம்பர் 20.
