Ocean University External Degree Programmes 2027/2028 (Batch V) Overview
The Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL) at the Ocean University of Sri Lanka has officially called for applications for its External Undergraduate Degree Programmes for the Academic Year 2027/2028 – Batch V. These 3-year programmes are delivered in English medium with online lectures during weekends and weekday evenings, combined with hands-on practical sessions conducted at the Ocean University premises.
Online applications will be accepted until 30 November 2026.
Degree Programmes & Entry Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 or Level 6 qualification in a relevant field such as Aquaculture or Food Technology; OR
- Three (03) Simple Passes (S) in one sitting at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in Biological Science, Biosystems Technology, or Agriculture stream; OR
- Three (03) Simple Passes (S) in one sitting at the London Advanced Level Examination (Cambridge or Edexcel) in Biological Science, Biosystems Technology, or Agriculture-related subjects.
- Programme Fee: Rs. 420,000/- (Payable in three installments).
- NVQ Level 5 or Level 6 qualification in Maritime and Transport Management or a related field; OR
- Three (03) Simple Passes (S) in one sitting at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in any stream; OR
- Three (03) Simple Passes (S) in one sitting at the London Advanced Level Examination (Cambridge or Edexcel) in any stream.
- Programme Fee: Rs. 500,000/- (Payable in three installments).

Submission Guidelines
- Submit your application online via the official portal: emis.ocu.ac.lk/app/applicationform_OCU.php (A Gmail account is required to log in and upload documents).
- Upload scanned copies of the bank payment slip along with educational and professional certificates.
- Post a printed copy of the completed online application and the original bank deposit slip by registered post to:

ශ්රී ලංකා සාගර විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ බාහිර උපාධි පාඨමාලා 2027/2028 (කණ්ඩායම V)
ශ්රී ලංකා සාගර විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ විවෘත හා දුරස්ථ අධ්යාපන මධ්යස්ථානය (CODL) මඟින් පවත්වනු ලබන වසර 03 ක බාහිර උපාධි පාඨමාලා සඳහා 2027/2028 අධ්යයන වර්ෂයේ 5 වන කණ්ඩායමට අයදුම්පත් කැඳවා ඇත.
- පාඨමාලා: ජලජීවී වගාව සහ මුහුදු ආහාර තාක්ෂණවේදය පිළිබඳ තාක්ෂණවේදී උපාධිය (B.Tech in AST) සහ සැපයුම් දාම කළමනාකරණය පිළිබඳ විද්යාවේදී උපාධිය (B.Sc. in SCM).
- අවම සුදුසුකම්: අ.පො.ස. (උ/පෙළ) එකවර විෂයයන් 3ක් සමත්වීම (අදාළ විෂය ධාරාවලින්) හෝ NVQ Level 5/6 ඩිප්ලෝමා සුදුසුකම්.
- දේශන පැවැත්වීම: සති අන්ත සහ සතියේ දිනවල සවස් කාලයේ අන්තර්ජාලය ඔස්සේ (Online) සහ ප්රායෝගික පන්ති සාගර විශ්වවිද්යාලයේදී ඉංග්රීසි මාධ්යයෙන් පැවැත්වේ.
- අයදුම්පත් භාරගන්නා අවසාන දිනය: 2026 නොවැම්බර් 30.
இலங்கை சமுத்திரப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் வெளிவாரிப் பட்டப்படிப்புகள் 2027/2028 (குழு V)
இலங்கை சமுத்திரப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் திறந்த மற்றும் தொலைக்கல்வி நிலையத்தினால் (CODL) நடாத்தப்படும் 2027/2028 கல்வியாண்டுக்கான வெளிவாரிப் பட்டப்படிப்புகளுக்கு விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளன.
- பாடநெறிகள்: நீர்வாழ் உயிரின வளர்ப்பு மற்றும் கடல்சார் உணவுத் தொழில்நுட்பவியல் பட்டப்படிப்பு (B.Tech in AST) மற்றும் விநியோகச் சங்கிலி முகாமைத்துவப் பட்டப்படிப்பு (B.Sc. in SCM).
- அடிப்படைத் தகைமைகள்: க.பொ.த (உ/த) பரீட்சையில் ஒரே அமர்வில் 3 பாடங்களில் சித்தி அல்லது NVQ Level 5/6 தகைமை.
- விரிவுரைகள்: வார இறுதி மற்றும் வார நாட்களில் மாலை வேளைகளில் இணையவழியாகவும் (Online), செய்முறை அமர்வுகள் பல்கலைக்கழக வளாகத்திலும் ஆங்கில மொழியில் நடாத்தப்படும்.
- விண்ணப்பிக்கும் இறுதித் திகதி: 30 நவம்பர் 2026.
⚠️ Important Candidate Instructions
- Lectures are delivered fully in English medium during weekends and weekday evenings, making the programmes suitable for working professionals.
- Course fees can be paid conveniently in three (03) installments.
- The application fee of Rs. 2,000/- is non-refundable. Both online submission and postal dispatch of the hard copy with the original deposit slip are mandatory.
