This applies to candidates who sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2025 (after re-scrutiny) and are seeking reconsideration of their admission status.
✅ Who Can Submit Appeals?
According to Section 4.4 of the University Admissions Handbook, appeals will be accepted from the following categories of applicants:
- Students who met the minimum Z-score for a selected course and university but were not offered admission.
- Applicants selected for one course but believe they qualify for another course they have indicated, provided they meet the admission requirements.
- Students requesting a change of course or institution to a lower preference where they meet the required criteria (subject to available vacancies).
- Applicants who failed to apply initially for a course despite meeting the minimum requirements (also subject to vacancies).
The UGC emphasizes that Z-score order will be considered when the number of appeals exceeds available vacancies.

- Admissions under special provisions.
- Special subject admissions under additional intakes.
- Filling of vacancies.
Payments made for such appeals will not be refunded.

- Fill the specimen application form (available via the UGC website).
- Submit the appeal under registered post or hand-deliver it to the Public Relations Office of the UGC.

💰 Payment Details
- A fee of Rs. 500/- per appeal is required.
