The Department of Examinations has announced a strict ban on all tuition classes, seminars, and related activities for the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination, effective from midnight on 4 August until the conclusion of the exams. According to the Department of Examinations, the 2026 A/L examination will be conducted from 10 August to 5 September across 2,532 examination centers island-wide.
🚫 Strictly Prohibited Activities
During this restriction period, the following activities are strictly forbidden under examination regulations:
- Conducting or organizing subject-specific tuition classes, lectures, seminars, or workshops.
- Printing, publishing, or distributing model papers containing predicted examination questions.
- Publishing advertisements via print, electronic, or digital media — including posters, banners, and leaflets — claiming to provide predicted or identical exam questions.
- Possessing or circulating materials that make such claims.
⚠️ Legal Consequences
The Examinations Department emphasized that any individual, institute, or party violating or disregarding these directives will be guilty of an offense under the Public Examinations Act and subject to legal action.
