Sri Lanka Law College Application 2026 for Second Intake

Sri Lanka Law College (SLLC) has officially called for applications from eligible LL.B. graduates of recognized local and foreign universities for enrollment as Attorney-at-Law students under the 2026 Second Intake. Applications must be submitted on or before 19 June 2026.

According to the notice issued by Sri Lanka Law College, eligible applicants may submit their applications directly to the Student Registration Unit, send them through an authorized representative, or forward them by registered post to reach the college before the closing date.

Applicants are required to download the latest application form and guidelines (Version 2026-4) from the Sri Lanka Law College website and ensure all required documents are submitted together with the application. Incomplete or late applications will be rejected without prior notice.

Key Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be citizens of Sri Lanka.
• Be at least 17 years of age at the time of application.
• Possess a certificate of good character acceptable to the Incorporated Council of Legal Education (ICLE).
• Have obtained a Credit Pass in English Language and a Credit Pass in Sinhala or Tamil Language at the G.C.E. O/L examination or an equivalent qualification.
• Have obtained at least Two Credit Passes and One Simple Pass in three subjects at one sitting of the G.C.E. A/L examination or an equivalent examination.

Important Notice for Foreign Law Graduates

Graduates who commenced their Law Degrees at foreign universities on or after 30 December 2020 are not eligible to apply under this intake and are required to sit for the Special Entrance Examination instead.

Registration Fees

The fee structure varies depending on the applicant category:

• Foreign LL.B. Preliminary Year Students – Rs. 117,500
• Final Year Students with LL.B. Degrees from recognized Sri Lankan universities, the Open University of Sri Lanka, or General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University – Rs. 47,500
• Barrister Students with LL.B. Qualifications – Rs. 97,500

Application Deadline

The closing date for submission of applications is 19 June 2026. Eligible candidates are advised to carefully read the guidelines and submit complete applications before the deadline to avoid rejection.
