Colombo, [Date]: The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government has announced the opening of applications for the promotion of officers from Grade III to Grade II in the Sri Lanka Planning Service. This opportunity is extended to officers who were recruited in 2019 and meet the eligibility criteria as per the revised Gazette Extraordinary No. 2137/26 dated 20.08.2019.
Key Details:
- Eligibility: Officers recruited to Grade III in 2019 who have fulfilled the qualifications outlined in the Sri Lanka Planning Service Minute (Gazette No. 1670/32 dated 10.09.2010, revised in 2019).
- Application Deadline: Officers appointed on 18.07.2019 must submit their applications by 20.08.2025. The deadline for those appointed on 22.07.2019 will be announced later.
- Submission Process: Applications must be forwarded through the respective heads of institutions to the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Completion of 6 years of satisfactory service.
- Earning all due salary increments on time.
- Consistent performance at a satisfactory level or above in annual appraisals.
- Passing the first efficiency bar examination and meeting language proficiency requirements (Sinhala/Tamil and English).
- No disciplinary actions pending or imposed in the last five years.
