Department of Social Services Vocational Instructor (Grade III) Recruitment 2026
The Department of Social Services under the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment has published an official notification in the Government Gazette dated 06 November 2026, calling for applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens to fill 15 vacancies in the post of Vocational Instructor (Grade III) across vocational training centres island-wide.
Completed applications prepared in accordance with the specimen form must be sent by registered post or delivered by hand to reach the Director of Social Services on or before 30 November 2026.
Vacancies by Field & Vocational Training Centre
- Plumber (03 Posts): Amunukumbura, Ketawala, and Seeduwa Vocational Training Centres.
- Jewellery Artisan (03 Posts): Thelambuyaya, Batticaloa, and Kalawana Vocational Training Centres.
- Industrial Sewing Machine Operator (02 Posts): Thelambuyaya and Amunukumbura Vocational Training Centres.
- Information and Communication Technology (02 Posts): Madampe and Kilinochchi Vocational Training Centres.
- Sales Assistant (01 Post): Thelambuyaya Vocational Training Centre.
- Tailor (01 Post): Kilinochchi Vocational Training Centre.
- Paper Recycling Technician (01 Post): Batticaloa Vocational Training Centre.
- Beautician (01 Post): Wattegama Vocational Training Centre.
- Bakery Artisan (Pastry & Bakery) (01 Post): Thelambuyaya Vocational Training Centre.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years as at the closing date of applications (30.11.2026).
- Educational Qualifications for Food Technology / Bakery & Pastry: Passed G.C.E. (O/L) in six (06) subjects in one sitting with credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil/English, Mathematics, and two other subjects.
- Educational Qualifications for Other Vocational Fields:
- Passed G.C.E. (O/L) in six (06) subjects in one sitting with credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil/English, Mathematics, and two other subjects; AND
- Passed all subjects in G.C.E. (A/L) in any subject stream (except the Common General Test) achieving the benchmark required for tertiary education.
- Professional / Technical Qualifications: A certificate of at least two (02) years in the relevant vocation obtained from Sri Lanka Technical College, German Technical Training Institute, Department of Small Industries, Department of Textile Industries, Department of Social Services, National Youth Services Council (NYSC), Vocational Training Authority (VTA), or an affiliated institute; OR successfully completed a relevant technical course with National Vocational Qualification (NVQ Level 5) or equivalent recognized by the TVEC.
- Service Requirement: Selected candidates must mandatorily serve at least five (05) years in the assigned vocational training centre.
Selection Scheme & Marks Allocation
- Written Examination: Comprises Intelligence Test (1 hour, 100 marks, 40% pass mark) and Comprehension (1 hour, 100 marks, 40% pass mark).
- Professional Practical Test: Tests pre-lesson class preparation (25 marks), introduction to the lesson (25 marks), subject knowledge (25 marks), and techniques used to actively engage trainees (25 marks). Pass mark is 40%.
- Structured Interview: Verification of original certificates only (no marks allocated). Candidates scoring highest total marks from written and practical tests will be selected in order of merit.
සමාජ සේවා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ වෘත්තීය උපදේශක (III ශ්‍රේණිය) පුරප්පාඩු 2026
ග්‍රාමීය සංවර්ධන, සමාජ ආරක්ෂණ සහ ප්‍රජා සවිබල ගැන්වීම් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ සමාජ සේවා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව යටතේ පවත්වාගෙන යනු ලබන වෘත්තීය පුහුණු මධ්‍යස්ථානවල වෘත්තීය උපදේශක (III ශ්‍රේණිය) පුරප්පාඩු 15ක් සඳහා විවෘත බඳවා ගැනීම් වෙනුවෙන් 2026.11.06 දිනැති ගැසට් පත්‍රය මඟින් අයදුම්පත් කැඳවා ඇත.
- පුරප්පාඩු ක්ෂේත්‍ර: ජලනල කාර්මික, විසිතුරු ආභරණ, කර්මාන්තශාලා මහන යන්ත්‍ර ක්‍රියාකරු, තොරතුරු හා සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂණය, වෙළඳ සහායක, ටේලර්, කඩදාසි ප්‍රතිචක්‍රීකරණ, රූපලාවන්‍ය සහ බේකරි ශිල්පී.
- වයස් සීමාව: අවුරුදු 18 ත් 35 ත් අතර.
- වැටුප් පරිමාණය: රු. 50,090 – 84,420/- (MT-01-2025).
- අවම සුදුසුකම්: අ.පො.ස. (සා/පෙළ) සම්මාන 4ක් සහිතව සමත්වීම, උ/පෙළ සමත්වීම (ආහාර තාක්ෂණ හැර) සහ අදාළ ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ NVQ Level 5 හෝ වසර 2ක පිළිගත් ඩිප්ලෝමා/සහතික පත්‍රයක් තිබීම.
- අයදුම්පත් භාරගන්නා අවසන් දිනය: 2026 නොවැම්බර් 30.

சமூக சேவைகள் திணைக்களத்தின் கீழ் இயங்கும் தொழிற்பயிற்சி நிலையங்களில் காணப்படும் தொழிற்பயிற்சி ஆலோசகர் தரம் III இற்கான 15 வெற்றிடங்களை நிரப்புவதற்கு 2026.11.06 ஆம் திகதிய அரச வர்த்தமானி ஊடாக விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளன.
- வெற்றிடப் பிரிவுகள்: குழாய் பொருத்துனர், ஆபரண உற்பத்தி, தையல் இயந்திர இயக்குனர், தகவல் தொடர்பாடல் தொழினுட்பம், விற்பனை உதவியாளர், தையற்கலை, கடதாசி மீள்சுழற்சி, அழகுக்கலை, பேக்கரி உற்பத்தி.
- வயதெல்லை: 18 – 35 வயதிற்குள்.
- சம்பள அளவுத்திட்டம்: ரூபா 50,090 – 84,420/- (MT-01-2025).
- அடிப்படைத் தகைமைகள்: க.பொ.த (சா/த) 4 திறமைச் சித்திகளுடன் சித்தி, க.பொ.த (உ/த) சித்தி மற்றும் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட துறையில் NVQ Level 5 அல்லது 2 வருட சான்றிதழ் தகைமை.
- விண்ணப்பிக்கும் இறுதித் திகதி: 30 நவம்பர் 2026.
