Ministry Temporarily Halts Inter-District Transfers of Principals
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has issued an official circular directive to all Provincial Education Secretaries regarding the transfers of officers serving in the Sri Lanka Principals’ Service (SLPS).
The directive notes that the open competitive examination for recruitment of officers into Grade III of the Sri Lanka Principals’ Service—advertised in Gazette No. 2,463 dated November 14, 2025—was held on June 07, 2026, and arrangements are currently underway to release the examination results.
