Publishing of Vacancies for Recruitment to Grade III of Sri Lanka Principals’ Service (2025/2026)
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has published the official vacancy distribution for recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Principals’ Service (SLPS) in the Government Gazette dated 06 November 2026. In accordance with Gazette No. 2,463 dated 14 November 2025, recruitment is conducted based on the results of the Limited Competitive Examination held on 07 June 2026 and the upcoming structured interviews.
The new appointments will fill approved vacancies existing as of 05 October 2026 in government schools (both National and Provincial schools) across all 25 administrative districts.
Interview Calling & Candidate Guidelines
- Interview Calling Ratio: Candidates equal to twice the number of vacancies available in each district under each medium of instruction will be called for the interview.
- Publication of Qualified Names: The name list of qualified candidates, interview dates, venues, time allocations, and mandatory documents to be submitted will be published on the official web portal of the Ministry of Education.
- Individual Notifications: Candidates whose names appear on the qualified list will be notified by post; however, if the postal letter is not received, candidates confirming their identity will still be permitted to face the interview on the assigned date.
- Language Precedence: In case of any inconsistency among Sinhala, Tamil, and English texts of this Gazette notification, the Sinhala text shall prevail.

2025.11.14 දිනැති අංක 2,463 දරන ගැසට් නිවේදනය අනුව 2026.06.07 දින පවත්වන ලද සීමිත තරග විභාගයේ ප්රතිඵල මත ශ්රී ලංකා විදුහල්පති සේවයේ (SLPS) III වන ශ්රේණියට බඳවා ගැනීම සඳහා 2026.10.05 දිනට පවතින දිස්ත්රික්ක මට්ටමේ පුරප්පාඩු සංඛ්යාව 2026.11.06 දිනැති රජයේ ගැසට් පත්රය මඟින් ප්රකාශයට පත් කර ඇත.
- සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණ කැඳවීම: එක් එක් දිස්ත්රික්කයේ පවතින පුරප්පාඩු සංඛ්යාව මෙන් දෙගුණයක් (2x) සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණයට කැඳවනු ලැබේ.
- සුදුසුකම්ලාභීන්ගේ නාමලේඛනය: සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණ පවත්වන ස්ථානය, වේලාව සහ ඉදිරිපත් කළ යුතු ලේඛන අධ්යාපන අමාත්යාංශ වෙබ් අඩවියේ ඉදිරියේදී පළ කෙරේ.
- ලිපි නොලැබුණ ද අවස්ථාව: සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණ ලිපිය තැපෑලෙන් නොලැබුණ ද නාමලේඛනයේ නම ඇත්නම් අනන්යතාව තහවුරු කර නියමිත දිනට පෙනී සිටිය හැක.

2025.11.14 ஆம் திகதிய வர்த்தமானி அறிவித்தலின் பிரகாரம் 2026.06.07 அன்று நடாத்தப்பட்ட வரையறுக்கப்பட்ட போட்டிப் பரீட்சையின் பெறுபேறுகளின் அடிப்படையில், இலங்கை அதிபர் சேவை தரம் III இற்காக 2026.10.05 ஆம் திகதியளவில் நிலவும் மாவட்ட ரீதியான வெற்றிட விபரங்கள் 2026.11.06 ஆம் திகதிய வர்த்தமானியில் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளன.
- நேர்முகப் பரீட்சைக்கான அழைப்பு: ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்திலும் உள்ள வெற்றிடங்களின் எண்ணிக்கையைப் போன்று இரு மடங்கு (2x) விண்ணப்பதாரிகள் நேர்முகப் பரீட்சைக்கு அழைக்கப்படுவர்.
- விண்ணப்பதாரர் பெயர் விபரம்: தகைமை பெற்றவர்களின் பெயர் விபரம், நேர்முகப் பரீட்சை நடைபெறும் இடம், திகதி மற்றும் தேவையான ஆவணங்கள் கல்வி அமைச்சின் இணையத்தளத்தில் விரைவில் வெளியிடப்படும்.
- கடிதம் கிடைக்காவிடினும் அனுமதி: நேர்முகப் பரீட்சைக் கடிதம் கிடைக்கப்பெறாத போதிலும், பெயர் பட்டியலில் பெயர் இருப்பின் அடையாளத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்தி குறித்த தினத்தில் சமூகமளிக்க முடியும்.

- Candidates who sat for the 2026.06.07 limited exam are advised to cross-check their district-specific vacancy positions against their medium of examination.
