The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has announced a recruitment drive for the posts of Drivers and Conductors on a contract basis, inviting both male and female applicants. This initiative aims to strengthen the passenger transport services across all regions of the island.

Key Qualifications:
Drivers:
- Passed G.C.E. (O/L) with at least 2 credit passes in one sitting.
- Age between 21 and 45 years.
- Possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (over 03 years).
- Minimum weight: 45 kg | Minimum height: 5 ft.
- Physically fit.
- Prior experience as a heavy vehicle driver preferred.
Conductors:
- Passed G.C.E. (O/L) with at least 2 credit passes.
- Age between 18 and 45 years.
- Possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Conductor license.
- Minimum weight: 41 kg | Minimum height: 5 ft.
- Physically fit.
- Previous experience as a passenger transport conductor is an added advantage.
Salary and Benefits:
- Basic monthly allowance: Rs. 38,387/- (Drivers), Rs. 37,715/- (Conductors).
- Additional allowances include a Cost of Living Allowance of Rs. 17,800/-, overtime, and incentives.
- Contributions to EPF and ETF will be made according to standard regulations.
