The Ministry of Education has issued a circular announcing a No temporary suspension of salary increment delays for teachers who have not completed their efficiency bar requirements. This decision comes as the Ministry acknowledges that some teachers have been unable to meet these requirements due to circumstances beyond their control.
The circular, dated January 10, 2025, and signed by the Minister of Education, states that this decision will remain in effect until further instructions are given. The Ministry is currently consulting with the Public Service Commission to establish provisions for granting relief time to teachers who have been unable to fulfill the efficiency bar requirements due to circumstances beyond their control.
