The Faculty of Graduate Studies at Eastern University has announced an extension of the application deadline for its Master of Arts (M.A) program for the 2024/2025 academic year. Prospective candidates can now submit their applications until March 31, 2025.
The M.A. program is offered in four specialized disciplines:
- Tamil
- Fine Arts
- Drama and Theatre
- Geography
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:
- A Special Arts Degree in the subject applied for from a recognized university or higher education institution.
- A General Arts Degree with a Class Pass covering the subject applied for.
Candidates with a General Arts Degree without a Class Pass in the relevant subject must pass a qualifying examination conducted by the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies.
Selection Process & Course Details
- Selection Method: Qualifying Examination and Interview
- Duration: 1 Year (Full-time)
- Course Fee: Rs. 170,000
- Medium of Instruction: Tamil / English (Geography will be taught only in Tamil and English)
Application Procedure
Applicants must deposit the application fee to People’s Bank, Chengaladi (Account No: 227100190000390) and submit the following documents:
- Completed application form
- Payment receipt
- A self-addressed stamped envelope (9” x 6”, Rs. 110.00 stamp)
