This examination is open to teachers serving in National and Provincial Schools under the following conditions:
- Grade 2-II Officers: Teachers promoted to Grade 2-II must complete this Efficiency Bar examination within four (04) years of receiving their promotion, excluding direct recruits to Grade 2-II based on a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree as specified under Clause 13.8 of the SLTS Minute.
- Grade 2-I Officers: Teachers promoted to Grade 2-I on or before 30 June 2025, with the condition to complete the EB exam prior to their next promotion, must pass this exam to qualify for promotion to Grade 1.
