The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has officially called for applications for the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology programme for the 2026 intake. This industry-oriented degree programme is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required for successful careers in the rapidly evolving IT sector.
The programme follows internationally recognized ACM/IEEE curriculum guidelines and offers flexible learning opportunities through a combination of online and onsite teaching methods, making it suitable for both school leavers and working professionals.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following requirements:
- A. Three passes at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in any stream and in any number of sittings.
- B.Three pass grades in the Foundation Programme or Advanced Certificate in Science offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka.
- C.A combination of qualifications obtained under categories A and B amounting to three passes.
- D.Successful completion of the Foundation Programme or Advanced Certificate in Social Sciences offered by OUSL.
- E.Any equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate of the Open University of Sri Lanka. Such applicants may be required to sit for a Selection Test and/or attend an interview.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 750/- and includes the Selection Test fee.
Payments can be made in cash at any Regional Centre of the Open University of Sri Lanka.
