The Ministry of Education has announced that applications for the 10th intake of the Interest Free Student Loan Scheme (IFSLS) will open in November 2025.
The scheme provides interest-free loans to students who have qualified for university admission but were unable to secure placement in state universities, allowing them to pursue selected degree programs offered by recognized non-state higher education institutions.
This intake covers students from the academic years 2021, 2022, and 2023, offering them an opportunity to obtain a government-supported higher education in diverse fields.
Further details regarding the eligible degree programs, institutions, and application procedures will be published soon on the official websites of the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
