🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications: Must hold a degree awarded by a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a university established by an Act of Parliament of Sri Lanka, or an institution recognized under Section 25A of the Universities Act, No. 16 of 1978.
Age Limit (Open Candidates): Must be between 22 and 28 years of age as of 06.10.2026 (born on or before 06.10.2004 and on or after 06.10.1998).
Age Limit (Public Officers): Confirmed officers in the Public or Provincial Public Service must be under 35 years of age as of 06.10.2026 (born on or after 06.10.1991) with a satisfactory service record for the preceding 5 years.
Citizenship & Clergy: Must be a Sri Lankan citizen. Selected candidates holding dual citizenship must rescind foreign nationality. Ordained clergy of any denomination are not eligible to apply.
Examination Attempts: Candidates can attempt this examination a maximum of three (03) times.
📝 Written Examination Scheme & Syllabus
The written examination consists of seven (07) papers offered in Sinhala, Tamil, and English mediums. Candidates must sit for the MCQ paper first, and passing it is mandatory to be eligible for the remaining papers.

🎯 Aptitude Interview Scheme (100 Marks)
Candidates who pass all seven subjects and achieve an aggregate score of at least 300 marks will be shortlisted for the aptitude interview (up to a maximum of five times the number of vacancies):

- Visit the Department of Examinations portal at www.doenets.lk.
- Navigate to “Our Services” > “Online Applications – Recruitment/E.B. Exams”.
- Fill out the application form completely online in English only.
- Pay the non-refundable examination fee of Rs. 1,200/- via Credit Card, Debit Card, Online Banking / BOC Flex App, or in cash at any Bank of Ceylon branch.
- Submit the form before 06 October 2026 (9:00 PM) and print/save a copy of the completed application form and payment proof.
- Confirmed state officers must submit a printed copy through their respective Head of Department.
⚠️ Important Candidate Instructions
- Applications close strictly at 9:00 PM on 06 October 2026. No late submissions are permitted.
- The MCQ paper must be passed first in order to qualify for the evaluation of the remaining written papers.
- A minimum aggregate of 300 marks across all 7 subjects is mandatory to be eligible for interview shortlisting.
- Candidates can attempt this open competitive examination a maximum of three times.
