Registration of Visiting Instructors (Resource Persons) – Academic Year 2027

The Department of Technical Education and Training (DTET), functioning under the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, has officially issued Gazette No. 2,461 dated October 30, 2026, inviting online applications from qualified professionals to register in the Resource Person Pool as Visiting Instructors for vocational courses scheduled for the 2027 academic year.

Applications are called by Directors and Principals of Technical Colleges and Colleges of Technology across the island exclusively through the online method on the official departmental portal. Registrations will remain open until December 07, 2026.

කාර්මික අධ්‍යාපන හා පුහුණු කිරීමේ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක තාක්ෂණ / කාර්මික විද්‍යාල 39 ක් සඳහා 2027 අධ්‍යයන වර්ෂයේ වෘත්තීය පාඨමාලා හැදෑරීම් සඳහා බාහිර උපදේශකවරුන් ලියාපදිංචි කිරීම ආරම්භ කර ඇත. සුදුසුකම්ලත් සම්පත්දායකයින් දෙපාර්තමේන්තු නිල වෙබ් අඩවිය (www.dtet.lk / www.dtet.gov.lk) ඔස්සේ මාර්ගගතව පමණක් 2026 දෙසැම්බර් 07 දිනට පෙර අයදුම් කළ යුතුය.

தொழில்நுட்பக் கல்வி மற்றும் தொழிற்பயிற்சித் திணைக்களத்தின் கீழுள்ள 39 தொழில்நுட்ப மற்றும் தொழினுட்பக் கல்லூரிகளில் 2027 ஆம் கல்வியாண்டிற்கான கற்கைநெறிகளை நடாத்துவதற்கு வருகைதரு போதகர்களை (Visiting Instructors) பதிவுசெய்வதற்கான விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளன. தகுதியான வளவாளர்கள் திணைக்களத்தின் உத்தியோகபூர்வ இணையத்தளத்தினூடாக (www.dtet.lk) இணையவழியாக மட்டுமே 2026 டிசம்பர் 07 ஆம் திகதிக்கு முன்னர் விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.

Key Service Conditions & Payment Information

• Payment of Allowances: Hourly payment rates for visiting instructors are determined based on educational qualifications, professional experience, and NVQ course levels in accordance with circular directives issued by the Director General.
• Nature of Registration: This registration applies exclusively to the 2027 academic year and does not confer any claim or right to a permanent appointment.
• Public Sector Employees: Public servants submitting applications online must download a hard copy, obtain the recommendation and release approval from their Head of Institution confirming official duties will not be hindered, and present it at the interview.
• Examination Duties: Registered visiting instructors are mandatorily required to participate in question paper setting, conducting examinations, and marking answer scripts for course-end and semester assessments, with or without special examination honoraria.
• Age Limit Provision: Applicants under 65 years who fulfill basic qualifications will be prioritized. Applicants above 65 years will only be considered if vacancies cannot be filled by qualified applicants below 65.

Online Application Procedure

1. Visit the official website of the Department of Technical Education and Training: www.dtet.lk or www.dtet.gov.lk.
2. Navigate to the online registration portal for the Resource Persons Pool (Visiting Instructors – Academic Year 2027).
3. Select your preferred Technical College / College of Technology and course field.
4. Enter all required educational credentials, NVQ level qualifications, and industrial/teaching experience accurately.
5. Submit your application online on or before December 07, 2026.
6. (For Public Sector Employees): Download and print a copy of your submitted application, secure the endorsement and release certification from your Head of Department, and present it at the interview board.
