The National Institute of Education (NIE), Maharagama, has announced the call for applications for its Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Management (PGDEM) Full-Time Programme for the academic year 2025/2026. The programme will be conducted in Sinhala, Tamil, and English mediums.
Designed for education professionals seeking to enhance their leadership and administrative capabilities, the one-year full-time programme will be delivered primarily online, with potential physical sessions held twice per term if required. The programme will be coordinated by the Department of Professional Development and Educational Management under the Faculty of Education Leadership Development and Management at NIE’s Meepe Junction Campus in Padukka.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Belong to the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service, Teacher Educators Service, Principal Service, or be a Head of a Government/Semi-Government Educational Institute or Pirivena.
- Hold a Bachelor of Education degree or a first degree in any discipline along with a professional teaching qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Trained Teacher Certificate, or National Diploma in Teaching).
- Have at least four years of teaching experience, including two years in administrative or supervisory roles.
- Not be enrolled in any other full-time programme during the 2025/2026 academic year.
