The Industrial Engineering Training Institute – IETI Moratuwa, a collaborative project between Sri Lanka and Germany, has announced a major recruitment drive for apprentices for its 2026 intake. Applications are now being sought for various high-level technical and practical courses designed to meet both domestic and international employment needs.
The institute emphasizes that these programs are among the country’s foremost, incorporating advanced technical and practical components to give apprentices maximum field knowledge.

Financial and Residential Support
Course fees apply to all programs, but can be paid in installments. The institute also offers several incentives and facilities to support its trainees:
- Monthly Allowance: A monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000/- for apprentices from low-income families.
- Accommodation: Residential hostel facilities are available for male apprentices only due to proximity issues.
- Other Facilities: Access to library facilities, meals and beverages at subsidized rates, and concessionary season tickets for Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) buses.
