The Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (RUSL) has announced admissions for its Diploma in English (Extension) program for the 2025 academic year (Intake 25). The program, conducted by the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE) in collaboration with the Department of English Language Teaching, is open to employed professionals, school leavers, and individuals seeking to enhance their English proficiency.
Program Highlights
- Mode: Online or Physical (candidate’s choice)
- Duration: 1 year (Weekend classes – Saturdays/Sundays, day or evening)
- Curriculum: Advanced Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Literature
- Examinations: Conducted physically on campus
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- GCE (A/L) pass or equivalent (SLQF Level 2/NVQ 4) OR
- GCE (O/L) credit pass in English OR
- GCE (A/L) pass in General English OR
- A recognized English Certificate (NCE, university-level, or professional certification) OR
- A degree in English medium from an accredited university
Candidates must also pass a written/oral selection test conducted by the university
