Graduate Teacher Recruitment 2026: Interview Schedules & Instructions
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has officially released the interview time schedules, operational instructions (G3 & G4), and mandatory candidate formats (F2, F3, F4, F5) for the recruitment of employed and unemployed graduates into Grade 3-I (a) of the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service.
These interviews cover Sinhala, Tamil, and English medium teacher vacancies across National and Provincial Schools island-wide, based on the results of the competitive examination held on May 24, 2026. Official calling letters will be posted to permanent residential addresses starting from November 01, 2026.

தேசிய மற்றும் மாகாணப் பாடசாலைகளிலுள்ள சிங்களம், தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கில மொழி மூல ஆசிரியர் வெற்றிடங்களுக்காக இலங்கை ஆசிரியர் சேவையின் தரம் 3-I (a) இற்கு பட்டதாரிகளை ஆட்சேர்ப்பு செய்வதற்கான நேர்முகப்பரீட்சை கால அட்டவணைகள், வழிகாட்டல்கள் (G3, G4) மற்றும் மாதிரிப் படிவங்கள் (F2, F3, F4, F5) கல்வி அமைச்சினால் உத்தியோகபூர்වமாக வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. உத்தியோகபூர்வ அழைப்புக் கடிதங்கள் 2026 நவம்பர் 01 ஆம் திகதி முதல் தபால் மூலம் அனுப்பி வைக்கப்படும்.

Document Checklist for the General Interview (G3)
- Two Files: One file containing all Original Documents and a second file containing Photocopies certified by yourself, submitted through the Form F5 Affidavit. Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled interview time.
- Identification: Original National Identity Card (NIC), Valid Passport, or Valid Driving License.
- Birth Certificate: Full birth certificate (short extracts will not be accepted; marriage certificate and affidavit required if name changed).
- G.C.E. O/L Certificate: Issued by the Commissioner General of Examinations (or foreign equivalence certificate).
- Degree Credentials: Valid Degree Certificate and Detailed Academic Transcript confirming relevant subjects studied.
- Form F1: Certified by the University Registrar confirming 1/3 subject content criteria. (Degrees from institutions outside standard UGC schedules must submit details via the Provincial PSC Google Form between 01.11.2026 and 07.11.2026).
- Residency Verification: Grama Niladhari Certificate and Extract of Electoral Register (online download from Election Commission website is accepted).
- Public Service Verification (F4): Compulsory for all graduates currently employed in public service, attested by the Head of Institution.
- Special School Choices (G5): Printed copy of school choices attached to your calling letter.
Practical Test Marking Scheme (Total: 25 Marks)
Applicants who qualify through the general document verification will face the practical test on the same day. Candidates must deliver a presentation of not less than 5 minutes. A minimum of 2 marks is required for each criterion to pass:

* Note: Whiteboards, marker pens, dusters, and pins are provided. Bristol boards/notes must be prepared beforehand; no preparation time or space is provided at the venue. Luggage and mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside examination halls.
