W&OP Re-Registration 2026 – Special Announcement for All Government Officers
The Department of Pensions has released a special announcement regarding the registration of public officers under the Widows’, Widowers’ and Orphans’ Pension (W&OP) Scheme and the verification of beneficiary details through its Integrated Pension Management Information System.
While the previous registration window was extended up to 30 October 2026 under Public Administration Circular 03/2025 (II), essential security upgrades and system maintenance are currently underway following circular instructions MODE/2026/03 issued by the Ministry of Digital Economy. As a result, several public online services of the Department of Pensions remain temporarily restricted.
• NO Individual Registration Links: Government officers CANNOT register or update their W&OP profile data by themselves.
• Authorized Officers Only: Registration, document uploading, and beneficiary verification must strictly be performed by the designated Subject / File Officer of your government institution.
• Action Required: Individual officers should avoid searching for public portal links and instead submit their physical documents directly to their institutional File Officer.

2026 ඔක්තෝබර් 30 දිනට නියමිතව තිබූ වැන්දඹු / වැන්දඹු පුරුෂ හා අනත්දරු විශ්රාම වැටුප් ලියාපදිංචි කිරීමේ අවසාන දිනය තවදුරටත් දීර්ඝ කිරීම පිළිබඳව විශ්රාම වැටුප් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ අවධානය යොමුව ඇත. පද්ධති යාවත්කාලීන කිරීම අවසන් වූ පසු නව අවසාන දිනය ප්රකාශයට පත් කෙරේ. රාජ්ය නිලධාරීන්ට තමන් විසින්ම තනිව ලියාපදිංචි විය නොහැකි අතර, තම ආයතනයේ අදාළ ලිපිගොනු භාර නිලධාරියා මගින් පමණක් මෙම කටයුතු සිදු කළ යුතුය.

System Maintenance & Access Through Lanka Government Network (LGN)
In accordance with national cybersecurity directives under Circular MODE/2026/03, the Department of Pensions is actively strengthening its application infrastructure. Key operational points include:
- Restricted Portal Access: Routine external internet access to the pension database has been curtailed for data security.
- LGN Exclusivity: At present, W&OP registration and beneficiary data verification can ONLY be accessed internally through the Lanka Government Network (LGN) by authorized government offices.
- Deadline Extension: Recognizing that officers and institutions faced technical bottlenecks during data entry, the Department of Pensions is evaluating a comprehensive deadline extension.
- Official Communication: The revised closing date will be officially publicized once the technical maintenance cycle is finalized.
Action Protocol for Public Officers & Institutions
