Vacancies at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts

Colombo, October 21: The University of the Visual and Performing Arts (UVPA) has announced several academic and administrative vacancies, inviting qualified applicants to apply before November 11, 2025.

According to the university’s official notice, applications are open for a range of positions in administration, engineering, ICT, and student affairs. The recruitment aims to strengthen the university’s operational and academic infrastructure as part of its institutional development plan.

Available Positions

1. Assistant Registrar (Legal and Documentation)
   • Must be an Attorney-at-Law with a degree in Law or Legal Studies.
   • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in legal work or documentation within a recognized institution.
2. Works Engineer (Civil) – Grade II / Grade III
   • Requires a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) from a UGC-recognized university.
   • Experience and registration with the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka (ECSL) are mandatory.
3. Project Manager – Construction Works
   • A B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying with 10 years of experience in construction project management.
   • Preference will be given to candidates with corporate membership in IESL or Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
4. Chief Marshal
   • Applicants should hold a rank not below Lieutenant Colonel in the Sri Lanka Armed Forces or an equivalent rank in the Police, with active sports participation.
5. Career Guidance Counsellor (Grade II)
   • Requires a Bachelor’s degree with four years of experience in student affairs.
   • Strong English communication skills are essential.
   • Preference for those with postgraduate qualifications in HRM or Counselling.
6. Assistant Network Manager (Grade II)
   • Candidates with a B.Sc. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering are eligible.
   • Should possess experience in network management, Linux systems, cybersecurity, and cloud networking.
7. Programmer cum System Analyst (Grade II)
   • Must have a B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent, with experience in software development and IT systems management.
