Railway Guards Vacancies 2025 (Open Exam)

The Sri Lanka Railway Department has announced the commencement of applications for the Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III in the Post of Railway Guard – 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

• General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level: Three passes in a single sitting in the Mathematics stream.
• Technical and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) Qualification: A TVEC-accredited Engineering Diploma (NVQ Level 6) or an equivalent qualification.
• Other Recognized Diplomas:
  • National Diploma in Technology (NDT)
  • National Diploma in Engineering Science (NDES)
  • Higher National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE)
  • Open University Technical Diploma
