PSC Approves Concessions for Teachers’ Efficiency Bar (EB) Requirements & Grade Promotions
ශ්රී ලංකා ගුරු සේවයේ ගුරුවරුන්ගේ කාර්යක්ෂමතා කඩඉම් (EB) අවශ්යතා සම්පූර්ණ කිරීම සහ ශ්රේණි උසස්වීම් ලබාදීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් අධ්යාපන අමාත්යාංශයේ ලේකම්වරයා විසින් ඉල්ලා සිටි සහන සඳහා රාජ්ය සේවා කොමිෂන් සභාවේ (PSC) නිල අනුමැතිය හිමිව ඇත. මීළඟ උසස්වීමට පෙර අදාළ විභාගය සම්පූර්ණ කිරීමේ කොන්දේසියට යටත්ව පෙර EB අවශ්යතාවයෙන් නිදහස් කිරීම සහ විභාග පැවැත්වෙන තෙක් නියමිත උසස්වීම් ලබාදීමට මෙහිදී අවසර හිමිව තිබේ.
இலங்கை ஆசிரியர் சேவையின் வினைத்திறன்காண் தடைத்தாண்டல் (EB) தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்தல் மற்றும் தர உயர்வுகள் தொடர்பில் கல்வி அமைச்சின் செயலாளரினால் கோரப்பட்ட நிவாரணங்களுக்கு அரச சேவை ஆணைக்குழு (PSC) உத்தியோகபூர்வ அங்கீகாரத்தை வழங்கியுள்ளது. அடுத்த தர உயர்வுக்கு முன்னர் பரீட்சையை பூர்த்தி செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற நிபந்தனையின் கீழ் முன்னைய EB தடையிலிருந்து விலக்களிக்கவும், வர்த்தமானி செய்யப்பட்ட பரீட்சைகள் நடாத்தப்படும் வரை இடைக்கால பதவி உயர்வுகளை வழங்கவும் தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has approved the relief measures submitted by the Secretary to the Ministry of Education to resolve long-standing promotion delays for teachers:
- Exemption from Prior Efficiency Bar Requirements: Covering approval has been granted to exempt teachers promoted to Grade 1 of the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service between October 23, 2022, and June 30, 2025, from the requirement of completing the previous grade’s Efficiency Bar prior to promotion. This exemption is subject to the condition that the required Efficiency Bar examination must be completed before the date of their next promotion.
- Grade Promotions Ahead of Scheduled Examination Dates: All three Efficiency Bar examinations have already been officially gazetted. Consequently, approval has been granted to award grade promotions to officers whose promotions fall due between June 30, 2025, and the date on which the gazetted Efficiency Bar examinations are conducted, without considering the completion of module or Efficiency Bar examinations during this interim period.
