The Postgraduate Institute of English (PGIE) of the Open University has invited applications for the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice in English 2026/2027.
According to the PGIE, the closing date for applications is 22 January 2026, while the Selection Test is scheduled for 24 January 2026 at the institute.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- A degree from a recognized university, or
- An equivalent professional qualification recognized by the Senate of the OUSL,
- In addition to a successful performance at the Selection Test.
Course Fees
- Course Fee: Rs. 125,250
- Application Fee: Rs. 2,000
Mode of Delivery
The program will follow a hybrid delivery model:
- Online Lectures:
- Thursdays: 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm
- Saturdays: 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm
- Sundays: 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm
- Onsite Sessions:
- Orientation and registration
- Six full-day weekend sessions held once every two months
