The Ministry of Education has announced that the results of the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination 2025 are expected to be released by 15 June 2026.
Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Madhura Seneviratne, stated that preparations for releasing the examination results are currently underway. According to him, officials are completing the necessary documentation and final verification processes before issuing the results.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner General of Examinations, A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage, confirmed that the Department of Examinations expects to release the results by mid-June after completing all practical examination assessments and evaluation procedures.
No Official Date Announced Yet
Responding to social media reports claiming that the results would be released within the next few days, the Commissioner General emphasized that no official date had been formally announced at the time of the statement.
However, based on the current progress of evaluation activities, the Department expects to release the results on or around Monday, 15 June 2026.
Practical Examination Schedule Completed
The release of results depends on the completion of practical examinations and related marking activities.
Aesthetic Subjects Practical Examinations
- Phase I: 12 March 2026 – 23 March 2026
- Phase II: 01 April 2026 – 10 April 2026
Physical Education Practical Test
- 22 April 2026 – 30 April 2026
Following the completion of these practical examinations, the Department proceeded with the final stages of evaluation and result processing.
