Promotion to the Supra Grade of Management Service Officers’ Service (MSOS) 2025

The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government has officially issued circular notification Ref. No. R/9/2/2025 dated October 28, 2026, announcing the promotion of 133 officers to the Supra Grade of the Management Service Officers’ Service (MSOS).

The decision follows the competitive examinations conducted by the Commissioner General of Examinations and subsequent selection interviews approved by the Public Service Commission. The promotions have been sanctioned under both Merit Basis and Limited Competitive streams.

රාජ්‍ය පරිපාලන, පළාත් සභා සහ පළාත් පාලන අමාත්‍යාංශය මගින් කළමනාකරණ සේවා නිලධාරි සේවයේ (MSOS) අධි ශ්‍රේණියට උසස් කරනු ලැබූ නිලධාරීන් 133 දෙනෙකුගේ නාමලේඛනය (කුසලතා මත 68 ක් සහ සීමිත විභාගය මත 65 ක්) නිල වශයෙන් ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කර ඇත. තෝරාගත් නිලධාරීන් සඳහා වන දින 10 ක සේවාරම්භක පුහුණු වැඩසටහන 2026 නොවැම්බර් 02 වන දින ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංවර්ධන පරිපාලන ආයතනයේදී (SLIDA) ආරම්භ වේ.

பொது நிருவாக, மாகாண சபைகள் மற்றும் உள்ளூராட்சி அமைச்சினால் முகாமைத்துவ சேவை உத்தியோகத்தர் சேவையின் அதிவிசேட தரத்திற்கு தரம் உயர்த்தப்பட்ட 133 உத்தியோகத்தர்களின் பெயர் விபரங்கள் உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்ட உத்தியோகத்தர்களுக்கான 10 நாள் சேவை ஆரம்பப் பயிற்சி நெறியானது 2026 நவம்பர் 02 ஆம் திகதி இலங்கை அபிவிருத்தி நிருவாக நிறுவனத்தில் (SLIDA) ஆரம்பமாகவுள்ளது.

Summary of Promotions & Effective Dates

Mandatory Induction Training at SLIDA (Annex 03)

• Training Venue & Commencement: The 10-day induction training will commence on November 02, 2026 at the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA).
• Reporting Time: All selected officers must report to SLIDA by 8:15 a.m. on 02.11.2026 for the inaugural ceremony. Daily sessions take place on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
• Meals & Accommodation: Officers must make their own arrangements for meals and lodging during the training period. Lunch will be provided on the inaugural day (November 02) only.
• Official Dress Code:
  • Female Officers: Saree or Osari suitable for a government office.
  • Male Officers: National dress or trousers, shirt, and tie.
• Official Release & Posting: Heads of Institutions are requested to approve official leave for the officers to participate in the training. Officers must be released promptly to their new stations according to the assignment letters issued at the conclusion of training.
