The Faculty of Dance and Drama of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Temporary Lecturer in Contemporary Dance and Choreography under the Department of Theatre, Oriental Ballet and Modern Dance.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

• A degree with specialization in the relevant subject with First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours; or
• A degree with specialization in the relevant subject with Second Class (Lower Division) Honours; or
• A relevant degree together with a Doctoral Degree or a recognized Master’s Degree with a research component in the relevant field.

Salary and Benefits

The appointment falls under Salary Code U-AC 2.

• Basic Salary (as at 01.01.2026): Rs. 85,305.00
• Paid Amount: Rs. 76,399.00
• Unpaid Amount: Rs. 8,906.00

In addition, successful candidates will be entitled to approved allowances according to university regulations.
