The Department of Sports Development has announced the recruitment for the post of Exercise Assistant (Management Assistant – Non-Technical – Segment 2 Service Category). Qualified Sri Lankan citizens are invited to apply for the available vacancies before the deadline.
Vacancy Details and Service Conditions
- Number of Vacancies: There are 08 vacancies to be filled.
- Nature of Post: The position is permanent and pensionable.
- Probation Period: Selected candidates will be subject to a three-year probation period.
Salary Scale
- According to Public Administration Circular 10/2025, the monthly salary scale is Rs. 45,230 – 10×540 – 11×630 – 10×890 – 10×1,190 – Rs. 78,360.
- The initial monthly salary step is Rs. 45,230.00, in addition to other government-approved allowances.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications:
- Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) examination in six subjects in one sitting with Credit (C) passes for Sinhala/Tamil/English, Mathematics, and two other subjects.
- Passed at least one subject (excluding General Common Test) at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination.
- Professional Qualifications: Completion of a training course related to physical fitness of more than two weeks.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of March 27, 2026.
- Other: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka with excellent character and physical/mental fitness to serve in any part of the island.
