The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka, has announced the call for applications for the Ahadiyya Dhaham Pasal Final Certificate Examination for the academic years 2023 and 2024. This examination is a pivotal assessment for students enrolled in Ahadiyya Dhaham Pasal and Arabic schools across the country.
Key Details:
- Eligibility: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Completion of Grade 10 at a registered Ahadiyya Dhaham Pasal and one year in the final certificate class.
- Passing Islamiyat in the G.C.E. O/L (Ordinary Level) or Senior School Certificate exams.
- Exam Centers: Centers will be established based on the number of applicants per district. Inadequate numbers may lead to reallocation to nearby centers.
- Language Medium: Exams will be conducted in Sinhala, Tamil, or English, but candidates must choose only one medium.
- Application Process:
- Schools must submit applications on behalf of students via postal mail or download forms from www.doenets.lk.
- External candidates (eligible under the criteria) may apply through nearby registered schools with a fee of LKR 200.
- Deadline: Applications must reach the Commissioner-General of Examinations by May 5, 2025.
Exam Structure:
The syllabus covers Islamic Theory (Aqeeda), Arabic Language, and Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), including topics like Taharah, Salah, and Zakat. Performance will be graded as follows:
- Fail (F): 0–34%
- Pass (S): 35–54%
- Credit (C): 55–69%
- Distinction (D): 70–100%
Important Notes:
- No direct applications from individual students are permitted; all submissions must be channeled through school principals.
- Newly registered schools must attach proof of registration with the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs.
