The Faculty of Arts at the University of Jaffna has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of Temporary Assistant Lecturers in English Literature and Temporary Instructors in English Language Teaching.
The interviews are scheduled to take place on March 18, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Mini Board Room of the Faculty of Arts.
Eligibility and Qualifications
The university has outlined three primary pathways for candidate eligibility:
- Pathway 1: An Honours Degree in the relevant subject with First or Second Class (Upper Division).
- Pathway 2: An Honours Degree in the relevant subject with Second Class (Lower Division).
- Pathway 3: A Pass in an Honours Degree (or any other degree including the relevant subject as a major) with at least a Second Class, coupled with a recognized Postgraduate Degree in the relevant subject.
Note: Candidates currently awaiting their final degree examination results are also permitted to appear for the interview.
