The Education Employees Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society (EDCS) has announced the opening of applications for the Year 5 Scholarship 2024, offering financial assistance to the children of its members who have successfully passed the 2024 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- The child must have passed the Year 5 Scholarship Examination – 2024.
- The parent must have completed at least three years of membership as of September 15, 2024.
- Membership should be active (last included membership number: 393285).
Reasons for Rejection of Applications
- Membership inactive for six consecutive months within the last three years.
- Parent has already received the final retirement payment from the Society.
- Incomplete or incorrectly filled applications.
How to Obtain an Application Form
- Application forms are available from February 28, 2025.
- They can be collected in person from the Head Office, District Offices, or Zonal Coordination Offices.
- Alternatively, members can download the form from the official EDCS website
Submission Deadline
- The last date for receiving applications is May 25, 2025.
- Completed applications must be sent in an envelope labeled “Applying for Year 5 – 2024 Scholarship” to the Assistant General Manager, Education Employees Cooperative Society, through registered post or hand delivery.
- Late applications will NOT be considered.
