Online applications have officially opened for qualified Sri Lankan graduates seeking UK Commonwealth scholarship 2027 Sri Lanka postgraduate awards tenable in the United Kingdom. Administered in collaboration with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC UK) and published via the Ministry of Higher Education, this competitive scheme facilitates advanced academic study at leading British universities across Master’s and PhD pathways.
For the 2027 academic cycle, a total quota of 16 scholarship nominations is available for Sri Lanka, divided into 10 Master’s positions and 6 Doctoral positions. All prospective scholars must align their study programs with one of six defined Commonwealth global development priority themes.

එක්සත් රාජධානියේ පොදුරාජ්ය මණ්ඩලීය පශ්චාද් උපාධි ශිෂ්යත්ව 2027
2027 වර්ෂය සඳහා එක්සත් රාජධානියේ (UK) පොදුරාජ්ය මණ්ඩලීය පශ්චාද් උපාධි ශිෂ්යත්ව වැඩසටහන (UK Commonwealth Scholarship Program 2027) යටතේ ශ්රී ලාංකිකයන්ගෙන් අයදුම්පත් කැඳවීම ආරම්භ කර ඇත. මෙම ශිෂ්යත්ව ක්රමය යටතේ ශ්රී ලංකාව වෙනුවෙන් පශ්චාද් උපාධි (Master’s) ශිෂ්යත්ව 10ක් සහ ආචාර්ය උපාධි (PhD) ශිෂ්යත්ව 06ක් ඇතුළුව සමස්ත ශිෂ්යත්ව 16ක් පිරිනැමේ.
සියලුම අයදුම්කරුවන් ශ්රී ලාංකික පුරවැසියන් විය යුතු අතර එක්සත් රාජධානියේ රැඳී සිටිමින් පූර්ණකාලීනව අධ්යයන කටයුතු සිදු කිරීමට යහපත් සෞඛ්ය තත්ත්වයකින් පසුවිය යුතුය. ශ්රී ලංකා විශ්වවිද්යාල ප්රතිපාදන කොමිෂන් සභාව (UGC) විසින් පිළිගත් විශ්වවිද්යාලයකින් පළමු පෙළ හෝ දෙවන පෙළ ඉහළ සාමාර්ථයක් සහිත සිව්වසරක උපාධියක් (SLQF 6) මූලික සුදුසුකම ලෙස සලකනු ලැබේ. අයදුම්පත් CSC මාර්ගගත පද්ධතිය ඔස්සේ සෘජුවම ඉදිරිපත් කළ යුතුය.

2027 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான ஐக்கிய இராச்சிய பொதுநலவாய புலமைப்பரிசில் திட்டத்தின் (UK Commonwealth Scholarship 2027) கீழ் முதுமானி (Master’s) மற்றும் கலாநிதி (PhD) பட்டப்படிப்புகளுக்காக தகுதியான இலங்கை பிரஜைகளிடமிருந்து விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளன. இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இலங்கைக்கு 16 புலமைப்பரிசில்கள் (முதுமானி – 10, கலாநிதி – 06) வழங்கப்படவுள்ளன.
விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் இலங்கை பிரஜையாக இருப்பதுடன் பிரித்தானியாவில் தங்கி கல்வி கற்க தகுந்த நல்உடற்தகுதியைக் கொண்டிருத்தல் வேண்டும். இலங்கை பல்கலைக்கழக மானியங்கள் ஆணைக்குழுவினால் (UGC) அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஒன்றிலிருந்து முதல் வகுப்பு அல்லது இரண்டாம் வகுப்பு மேல் பிரிவுடனான 4 வருட இளமானிப் பட்டத்தை (SLQF 6) நிறைவு செய்திருத்தல் அவசியமாகும். கலாநிதி பட்டத்திற்கு விண்ணப்பிப்பவர்கள் மேலதிகமாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட முதுமானிப் பட்டத்தையும் (SLQF 9, 10, 11) பெற்றிருத்தல் வேண்டும். விண்ணப்பங்கள் அனைத்தும் CSC இணையத்தளத்தின் ஊடாக சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
Eligibility Criteria
General Conditions for All Candidates:
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Must be in good health and willing to reside in the United Kingdom throughout the course duration.
Requirements for Master’s Degree Applicants:
- Must possess a 4-year minimum duration Bachelor’s Degree (SLQF Level 6) with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division standing in a relevant subject from a UGC-recognized university in Sri Lanka.
Requirements for Doctoral (PhD) Applicants:
- Must hold a 4-year minimum Bachelor’s Degree (SLQF Level 6) with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division from a UGC-recognized university.
- Must possess a Master’s degree (SLQF Level 9, 10, or 11) in the corresponding field from a recognized university.
- Must NOT have been registered for a PhD, or an MPhil leading to a PhD, at a UK institution or in Sri Lanka prior to September/October 2026.
- Must provide a signed supporting statement from a proposed UK academic supervisor from at least one university named in the application.
How to Apply

- Obtain required academic transcripts, degree certificates, and (for PhD applicants) a formal supervisor supporting statement from your chosen UK university.
