The Ministry of Education has announced the opening of applications for the Thailand Masters Degree Scholarships Programme at Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) Postgraduate Scholarships – 2025, offered by Thailand for the academic year 2026Chulaborn_Web_Notice_New.
Number of Scholarships
A total of five (05) Master’s scholarships are available under this programme.
Fields of Study
Scholarships will be awarded for Master’s Degree in Applied Biological Sciences, specifically in the following fields:
- Environmental Health
- Environmental Toxicology
- Chemical Sciences
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of Sri Lanka and under 30 years of age as of 20th September 2025.
- Hold a four-year Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 in fields such as Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences, Medical Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or other related areas from a UGC-recognized university.
- Demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL or IELTS.
- Have research experience in scientific laboratories.
- Be in good health and willing to live in Thailand during the study period.

- Accommodation and monthly stipend
- Book allowance and health insurance
The programme includes a 6-week refresher course (June 2026) followed by a 2-year Master’s study (commencing August 2026), subject to satisfactory academic progress.
