Lecturer and Senior Lecturer Vacancies in Medical Education – PGIM

The Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM), University of Colombo, has called for applications from suitably qualified candidates for several permanent academic positions in the field of Medical Education. Interested applicants are required to submit their applications on or before 03 July 2026.

Available Vacancies

Applications are invited for the following permanent posts:

• Lecturer (Probationary) in Medical Education
• Lecturer (Unconfirmed) in Medical Education
• Senior Lecturer Grade II in Medical Education
• Senior Lecturer Grade I in Medical Education

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• An MBBS Degree
• Preference will be given to candidates who have obtained an MD with Board Certification in Health Informatics

Salary Scales

• Senior Lecturer Grade I – Rs. 160,520 – 187,820 per month
• Senior Lecturer Grade II – Rs. 138,980 – 171,320 per month
• Lecturer (Unconfirmed) – Rs. 121,340 – 136,040 per month
• Lecturer (Probationary) – Rs. 94,400 – 118,400 per month

In addition to the basic salary, successful candidates will receive the Cost-of-Living Allowance (COLA) and other approved allowances.

Sabbatical Leave Benefits

The selected officers will be eligible for:

• One year of sabbatical leave with full pay or two years without pay after completing seven years of service.
• Full passage benefits for the officer and spouse when proceeding abroad on sabbatical leave.
