The Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Humanities, in partnership with the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Kelaniya, has officially invited applications for its postgraduate programmes in linguistics University of Kelaniya 2026/2027 academic intake. Prospective students can enroll in either the Master of Linguistics or the Master of Arts in Linguistics, both structured to provide advanced research, theoretical, and analytical skills across modern language sciences.
The curriculum features comprehensive study tracks such as Phonetics and Phonology, Morphology and Syntax, Historical Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, and Semantics. Lectures will be delivered in both English and Sinhala media, with classes scheduled to begin in January 2027.

කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ මානවශාස්ත්ර පීඨයේ වාග්විද්යා අධ්යයනාංශය සහ පශ්චාද් උපාධි අධ්යයන පීඨය එක්ව මෙහෙයවනු ලබන වාග්විද්යා පශ්චාද් උපාධි පාඨමාලා (2026/2027 අධ්යයන වර්ෂය) සඳහා අයදුම්පත් කැඳවීම ආරම්භ කර ඇත. මෙහිදී වාග්විද්යාවේදී (Master of Linguistics – SLQF Level 9) සහ වාග්විද්යාව පිළිබඳ ශාස්ත්රපති (Master of Arts in Linguistics – SLQF Level 10) යන උපාධි පාඨමාලා දෙක සඳහා අයදුම් කළ හැකිය.
මෙම පාඨමාලා සිංහල සහ ඉංග්රීසි මාධ්යයෙන් පවත්වනු ලබන අතර දේශන කටයුතු 2027 ජනවාරි මස ආරම්භ වීමට නියමිතයි. පිළිගත් විශ්වවිද්යාලයකින් ලබාගත් උපාධියක් හෝ කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ සනාථන සභාව විසින් පිළිගත් සමාන සුදුසුකම් සපුරා ඇති ඕනෑම අයදුම්කරුවෙකුට මාර්ගගත ක්රමවේදය (Online) ඔස්සේ අයදුම්පත් ඉදිරිපත් කළ හැකිය.
