Sri Lankan households are closely monitoring the June 2026 Litro Gas price revision amid ongoing global energy market fluctuations that continue to impact local LPG prices. After several price adjustments during the first half of the year, consumers are eager to know whether another increase is on the horizon.

Recent reports indicate that Litro Gas Lanka is reviewing domestic LPG prices due to rising international gas costs and supply chain pressures. Industry analysts suggest that a price revision could be announced in early June if global LPG prices continue their upward trend.

Current Litro Gas Prices in Sri Lanka

As of the latest announced pricing, Litro domestic LPG cylinders are being sold at:

  • 12.5kg Cylinder: Rs. 4,765
  • 5kg Cylinder: Rs. 1,910
  • 2.3kg Cylinder: Rs. 890

These prices have remained unchanged since the May 2026 review despite challenging international market conditions.

Why Could Litro Gas Prices Increase in June?

Several factors are influencing LPG pricing in Sri Lanka:

1. Rising Global LPG Prices

International LPG prices have increased due to geopolitical tensions and supply disruptions affecting global energy markets. This has raised import costs for Sri Lankan suppliers.

2. Exchange Rate Fluctuations

Since LPG is imported, changes in the Sri Lankan Rupee’s value against the US Dollar directly impact local gas prices.

3. Transportation and Distribution Costs

Increasing logistics and shipping expenses continue to place pressure on local LPG distributors, potentially leading to price adjustments.

Previous Litro Gas Price Revisions in 2026

The most significant revision this year occurred in April 2026, when the price of a 12.5kg domestic LPG cylinder increased by Rs. 775, bringing the Colombo retail price to Rs. 4,765. Smaller cylinders also experienced corresponding increases.

Earlier in March 2026, Litro Gas implemented another increase due to higher international LPG costs.

What Consumers Should Expect

While no official June 2026 price revision has been announced yet, market observers expect Litro Gas Lanka to evaluate global price movements before making a final decision. Reports suggest that another increase remains a possibility if international LPG prices continue rising.

Consumers are advised to follow official announcements from Litro Gas Lanka for verified pricing updates and district-specific rates.

Tips to Save Gas During Price Increases

If LPG prices rise again, households can reduce consumption by:

  • Using pressure cookers whenever possible.
  • Covering pots while cooking.
  • Regularly checking gas stove efficiency.
  • Cooking multiple meals simultaneously.
  • Ensuring gas leaks are repaired immediately.

Final Thoughts

The Litro Gas Price June 2026 Revision remains a key concern for Sri Lankan households and businesses. Although prices were kept unchanged in May, increasing global LPG costs may lead to another revision in June. Consumers should stay informed through official channels and prepare for potential changes in domestic LPG prices.
