The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has officially announced that the appeal decisions regarding the 2025 Annual/Compulsory National School Teacher Transfers have been released online.
According to a circular issued on June 3, 2026, signed by A.S.S. Edirisuriya, Additional Secretary (Teacher Institutions), for the Secretary of the Ministry, the appeal decisions for several key subjects are now available for viewing online via the ministry’s designated system.
Subjects Included in this Release:
The current release covers transfer appeal decisions for the following 10 subject areas:
- Economics
- Accounting
- Business Studies
- Sinhala (A/L)
- Library Science & Information Studies
- Teacher Librarian
- Logic
- Hindu Civilization
- Islam Civilization
- Arabic Language (O/L, A/L)
Instructions for Principals and Teachers
- Informing Staff: The Ministry has instructed all National School Principals to immediately inform the respective teachers in their schools regarding these online updates.
- Transfer Orders: Formal transfer order letters will be issued in the near future.
- Release of Teachers: Principals are further instructed to take necessary actions to release the transferred teachers from their current duties on the specified dates once the formal orders arrive.
Teachers who submitted appeals for the 2025 annual/compulsory transfer cycle for the above subjects are advised to check the official online portal of the Ministry of Education to view their decisions.
