📜 About the Declaration
The Government of Sri Lanka has officially declared August 21, 22, and 23, 2026, as days of national mourning to honor the passing of the veteran music icon, Visharada Nanda Malini.
According to a circular issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government (Circular No: 04/2026), all state institutions are instructed to fly the national flag at half-mast during this three-day period.
