Remuneration, Allowances & Statutory Benefits
Basic salaries are structured according to UGC Commission Circular No. 02/2025 (i). Selected candidates will also receive government-approved allowances and statutory benefits:
- Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800/- per month.
- Monthly Compensatory Allowance: 36% – 330/- per month.
- Statutory Schemes: Membership in the Universities Provident Fund (UPF), University Pension Scheme, Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF), and Gratuity payments.
- Medical Benefits: Free university medical scheme benefits.

- Online Registration: Submit an online application through the University of Vavuniya Job Application System at https://jas.vau.ac.lk/. Qualification criteria can be downloaded at www.vau.ac.lk.
- Pay Application Fee: Deposit Rs. 1,000/- at any Bank of Ceylon branch credited to Account No. 2364602 in favor of the Bursar, University of Vavuniya. Keep the original paid bank slip.
- Postal Submission: Send the printed online application, original bank payment receipt, and certified photocopies of educational and service certificates via Registered Post to:
