The Ministry of Health and Mass Media, through its Indigenous Medicine Section, has announced the call for applications for the Homoeopathy Medical Degree Scholarship under the Indian Government Sponsorship for the academic year 2025/2026. This scholarship opportunity is for 10 Sri Lankan students to pursue a 5½-year Homoeopathy Medical Degree Course at the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH) in Kolkata, India.
Upon successful completion and registration with the Homoeopathy Medical Council, graduates will be qualified to practice as Homoeopathy Medical Practitioners.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be aged between 18 and 25 years as of 15.08.2025.
- Have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in one sitting at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in the Science stream.
- Have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination with at least a Credit pass in English.

Applicants should submit a self-prepared Bio-Data including:
- Full name, date of birth, age, standard, contact numbers (mobile and landline), and educational qualifications.
- Certified copies of A/L and O/L certificates.
- Applications must be sent by registered post
