Nursing Training Application 2025

The Ministry of Health & Mass Media has announced the commencement of the recruitment process for Nursing Training for the year 2025. Eligible candidates are invited to submit their applications online through the official ministry website, www.health.gov.lk, before the closing date of August 12, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have completed their Advanced Level (A/L) examinations in the bio-science or physical science streams under the following conditions:

• Old Syllabus: 2020
• New Syllabus: 2020, 2021, or 2022

Candidates are required to possess their National Identity Card (NIC), G.C.E. (O/L) and (A/L) certificates, Z-score documents, and two callable mobile phone numbers. Additionally, applicants must provide their height in centimeters.

Application Process

1. Payment of Fee: A non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- must be paid in person at any Bank of Ceylon branch. The receipt number from the bank payment must be entered during the online application process.
2. Online Submission: Applications must be filled out in English and submitted exclusively through the ministry’s official website.
3. Confirmation: After submission, applicants must download a copy of their application form and securely store the 5-digit code provided. Failure to receive this code requires immediate contact with the Human Resource Management and Coordinating Unit.

Disqualifications

The following candidates are not eligible to apply:

• Those currently enrolled in full-time courses at state universities or institutions under the national free education policy.
• Students registered in full-time programs at the National College of Education or other government institutions based on A/L results.

• False information in the application will lead to disqualification.
• Applicants must provide an active mobile number (their own or a parent/guardian’s) and ensure contact details remain unchanged until the selection process concludes.
• Updates regarding interviews and selections will be published on the ministry’s website, with no individual notifications.
