Recruitment of B. Sc. (Nursing) Graduates for the Orientation and Coordination Course in Nursing- 2025

The Ministry of Health and Mass Media has announced the recruitment of B.Sc. (Nursing) graduates for the Orientation and Coordination Course in Nursing-2025. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of nursing professionals and address the growing healthcare needs of the country.

Key Details of the Recruitment

1. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution under the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Age Limit: 18–35 years as of August 8, 2025.
Physical Fitness: Candidates must be fit to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka.
Registration: Must be registered with the Sri Lanka Nursing Council by the interview date.

2. Selection Process

875 candidates will be selected based on degree effective date and GPA.
Shortlisted applicants will face an interview assessing qualifications, fitness, and adherence to guidelines.

3. Application Procedure

Fee: Rs. 1,000 (non-refundable) via Bank of Ceylon (Account No. 7041318).
Documents Required:
- Degree and GPA certificates (self-attested copies).
- Birth certificate, NIC/passport, and Nursing Council registration proof.
Submission Deadline: August 8, 2025, via registered post to:Director (Admin) 01, Ministry of Health and Mass Media, “Suwasiripaya”, Colombo 10.

4. Training Program

Duration: 6 months (English medium).
Allowance: Monthly stipend as per Public Administrative Circular 10/2025.
Bond Agreement: Selected trainees must sign a 5-year service bond with the Ministry or face financial/legal penalties.

5. Post-Training Appointments

Successful candidates may be appointed as Nursing Officer (Grade III) with a starting salary of Rs. 54,920 (MT-7-2025 scale).

Incomplete applications or false documentation will lead to disqualification.
No reverting to previous posts for government employees post-training.
