The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education (Higher Education Division) has announced the call for applications for the Project for Human Resources Development Scholarship (JDS) program. The scholarship offers opportunities for Sri Lankan public sector officers to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in Japan for the academic year 2026–2027.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens with strong proficiency in English. The program is open to public sector executives and senior executives as defined in the Public Administration Circular No. 06/2006. Staff from semi-government organizations such as BOI, NBRO, CEA, NWSDB, WMA, and UDA may also apply under limited components. Candidates are expected to show genuine interest in studying in Japan and a commitment to applying their knowledge and networks gained through JDS in their careers.

Interested applicants should visit the official JDS website, download the application form, complete it along with the required documents, and submit it through their respective ministry or organization to the ERD.
