Widows’ & Orphans’ Pension Scheme Online Registration Update 2026 – Public Administration Circular 03/2025 (II)
The online information system for registering public officers under the Widows’ and Orphans’ / Widowers’ and Orphans’ Pension Scheme has been reactivated. All public institutions must complete registration of officers, updating of information and verification of beneficiary details through the new online W&OP system on or before 30 October 2026. Activities include registration of public officers, updating personal and service information, verification of spouse, children and beneficiary details, correction of inaccurate information and obtaining new W&OP membership cards. Public officers can check whether their W&OP information has been updated using the Pension Department’s online service by selecting Government Officers and entering their NIC number. This is in accordance with Public Administration Circular No. 03/2025 (II).

The online information system for the Widows’ & Orphans’ / Widowers’ & Orphans’ Pension Scheme has been reactivated. Public institutions must complete all registration, information updates and beneficiary verification activities by the extended deadline.

The online information system for registering public officers under the Widows’ and Orphans’ / Widowers’ and Orphans’ Pension Scheme has been reactivated. Public institutions must complete the registration of officers, updating of information and verification of beneficiary details through the new online information system on or before 30 October 2026.
In accordance with Public Administration Circular No. 03/2025 (II), public institutions have been instructed to verify the accuracy of information entered into the system and establish a suitable monitoring mechanism.

Check Your New W&OP Card Status
Public officers can check whether their W&OP information has been updated to the new system using the Pension Department’s online service. Select Government Officers, enter your NIC number and follow the steps below.
