ETFB Launches Nipunatha Saviya : Financial Assistance of Rs. 50,000 for Vocational Courses at NVQ Levels 3, 4, and 5

The Employees’ Trust Fund Board (ETFB) has introduced the Nipunatha Saviya Benefits Scheme for 2024, offering financial support to children of active ETFB members who sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in December 2024. Eligible students can receive up to Rs. 50,000 to pursue one of 100 vocational courses across 14 fields, recognized under the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) levels 3, 4, and 5.

  • Students who sat for the 2024 G.C.E. A/L exam (passing not mandatory).
  • Age limit: 23 years or below (for external candidates).
  • Parent/guardian must be an active ETFB member with continuous contributions from January to December 2024 (or 36 months for self-employed members).

  • Fields include Agriculture, Apparel, Automotive, Healthcare, IT, Hospitality, and more.
  • Popular options: Software Development, Nursing Assistant, Automobile Mechanic, and Barista Training.
