University of Peradeniya Opens Applications for Diploma in Library and Information Services 2025

The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE) at the University of Peradeniya has announced the commencement of applications for its Diploma in Library and Information Services for the academic year 2025. The program is designed to cater to students in Sinhala, Tamil, and English mediums.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

1. Passed all three subjects in the G.C.E. (A/L) examination, or
2. Completed NVQF Level 4/SLQF Level 2, or
3. A foundation course in Library and Information Science equivalent to SLQF Level 2 with 12 years of schooling, or
4. Four years of work experience in the field with a minimum of 12 years of schooling.

Applicants must also have a credit pass or above in the G.C.E. (O/L) for the language medium they choose if it is not their mother tongue.
