අධ්යාපන, උසස් අධ්යාපන සහ වෘත්තීය අධ්යාපන අමාත්යාංශය මඟින් වාර්ෂික සමස්ත ලංකා ගණිත තරගාවලියට අදාළ නව උපදෙස් හා රෙගුලාසි ඇතුළත් අංක 08/2026 දරන චක්රලේඛය නිකුත් කර ඇත. මීට පෙර පැවති අංක 13/2024 චක්රලේඛය අවලංගු කරමින් නිකුත් කර ඇති මෙමඟින් කනිෂ්ඨ, ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ I සහ ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ II කාණ්ඩ යටතේ තරග පැවැත්වෙන ආකාරය, කණ්ඩායම් සංයුතිය සහ ජාතික මට්ටමේ තරග ව්යුහය ප්රකාශයට පත් කර තිබේ.

கல்வி, உயர் கல்வி மற்றும் தொழிற்கல்வி அமைச்சு அகில இலங்கை கணிதப் போட்டிக்கான புதிய வழிகாட்டல்கள் மற்றும் விதிமுறைகளை உள்ளடக்கிய 08/2026 ஆம் இலக்க சுற்றறிக்கையை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. முன்னர் நடைமுறையிலிருந்த 13/2024 ஆம் இலக்க சுற்றறிக்கைக்குப் பதிலாக நடைமுறைக்கு வரும் இச்சுற்றறிக்கையின் கீழ் கனிஷ்ட, சிரேஷ்ட I மற்றும் சிரேஷ்ட II ஆகிய பிரிவுகளில் போட்டிகள் நடாத்தப்படும் விதம், தேசிய மட்டப் போட்டிகளின் கட்டமைப்பு மற்றும் கால அட்டவணை அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

🎯 Student Categories & Team Composition
The competition is organized across three revised student categories progressing through divisional, zonal, and provincial stages to the national finals. Each province will be represented by three dedicated teams (one per category), each comprising 6 main competitors and nominated reserves:

🏆 National Level Competition Structure (4 Events)

| Event 01 – Maths Trail | 1 Hour | Outdoor group challenge consisting of three sequential tasks of 15 minutes each, conducted in Sinhala and Tamil mediums. |
| Event 02 – Maths Puzzle | 1 Hour | Teams collaborate to analyze and solve 2 to 3 complex mathematical puzzles. |
| Event 03 – Team Contest | 1 Hour | Evaluates problem-solving proficiency, collaborative strategy, and mathematical execution. |
| Event 04 – Maths Quiz | 90 Minutes | A 2-round stage quiz featuring the 6 main competitors seated in ascending grade order. Questions displayed in Sinhala, Tamil, and English with a 90-second solving limit. |

- All participating student competitors must attend the competition in full school uniform.
- Senior II Category is strictly reserved for students appearing for their G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations for the first time.
- Medals, trophies, and certificates are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, while all participants (including reserves) receive certificates of participation.
- Competitions for Vidyayatana Pirivenas are conducted under separate administration by the Ministry’s Pirivena Branch.
